Payment Options

Straightforward Ways To Pay

No hidden fees, no surprises, and nothing charged before you authorize it.

Every project starts with a scope of work that lists what you are paying for and when each payment is due. You sign it online, choose how you want to pay, and the first payment is collected at that moment. Nothing moves before you have read the terms and agreed to them.

Most engagements are split across milestones rather than paid up front. A build typically takes a deposit at signing, a payment at an agreed midpoint, and the balance at launch. Retainers bill monthly on the date you started.

  • Bank Transfer (ACH)

    No added cost

Connect your business account once. Each payment is debited automatically on the schedule in your agreement.

    • The price on your scope of work is the price you pay
    • Connected securely through Stripe, which handles the bank login
    • Payments take up to four business days to clear
    • You are emailed before any recurring debit, and you can change the account any time
  • Credit or Debit Card

    2% more

Pay by card if you would rather keep the float, earn points, or spread cost across a billing cycle.

    • Two percent is added to each payment, shown before you pay
    • That is what card processing costs us, not a markup
    • Cards are saved for retainers so monthly payments run automatically
    • Processed on Stripe's own checkout. We never see your card number
  • Financing

    On request

For larger projects, financing can spread the cost over 12 to 24 months while the work runs on the original schedule.

    • Applying is a soft credit check and does not affect your credit
    • Financing is business purpose only and arranged through a third-party lender
    • You would owe the lender rather than us, on their terms
    • Ask before you sign and we will walk you through the options and the numbers

How It Runs

From Signature To Final Payment

  1. 1

    Read and sign

Your scope of work lists every deliverable, every payment, and when each one is due. You sign it online with a typed signature, and a copy is emailed to you and kept in your client account.

  2. 2

    Authorize the first payment

Choose bank transfer or card. Only the first payment is taken at signing. Nothing else is charged until its milestone actually lands.

  3. 3

Pay the rest as work lands

Later payments are invoiced when the milestone they are tied to is reached, not on a calendar date. If the work slips, the invoice slips with it.

  4. 4

    Track it in your account

Every invoice, payment, signed document and upcoming amount is in your client account, so you can see what has been paid and what is coming.

Questions

Before You Sign

When is the first payment taken?
At the moment you accept your scope of work. The page shows the exact amount before you authorize anything, and it is only ever the first payment, never the full contract value.
Do you take a deposit?
Usually. A typical build is split 50% at signing, with the balance across a midpoint and launch. The split is written into your scope of work before you sign, and it is negotiable before then.
Why does paying by card cost 2% more?
Because card processing costs us roughly that. Rather than raising every price to cover it, the bank price is the real price and cards carry the difference. Colorado caps what a business may add for a card, and 2% sits inside that cap.
Can I cancel a retainer?
Yes, with 30 days written notice. There is no minimum term. Anything already delivered is invoiced, and your site, accounts and files remain yours.
What happens if a payment fails?
We email you and sort it out. A returned bank debit is usually a balance or a verification issue rather than anything serious. Nothing is sent to collections and no late fee is charged without a conversation first.
Do you offer refunds?
Deposits are non-refundable once work has started, because the time is already committed. Beyond that, if something is wrong we would rather fix it than argue about it. That has been the approach on every project so far.

Ask before you sign anything

If the schedule does not work for your cash flow, say so. Most of them are negotiable before a scope is signed, and none of them are worth signing if they are going to hurt.
